FAQ

Q: What is a special?
Q: Does unlicensed mean unregulated?
Q: Should I make extemporaneously or buy in specials?
It depends on the individual requirement. Making specials in a pharmacy has the advantage of speed of delivery and an immediate service, however only simple formulations can be created in a pharmacy and some specials require specialist technology (sterile injections, eye drops etc.) which are not available in a pharmacy setting. The advantage of using a specials manufacturer or distributor is that they have a variety of special products already in stock for immediate purchase.
